One of the largest media organisations in the world is looking for an experienced Test Analyst to join a high profile and exciting IT integration programme team. As the Test Analyst, your role will be primarily leading the testing activities of a sales project dealing with global teams within the programme with the expectation to use a wide range of skills across all levels of testing lifecycle.

As the Test Analyst, you will lead the testing service by ensuring delivery of the testing service to the programme, providing appropriate test coverage to ensure the release of systems without significant fault. You will manage day-to-day tasks and issues with a positive and flexible approach. Furthermore, the Test Analyst will ensure the necessary support and advice is provided in an effective manner, demonstrating a good understanding of the benefits of a structured approach to testing.
This is a fixed term contract for 7 months based central London, with some travel to other sites. Experience of working within a Finance environment, ideally skilled in processing, reconciling and validating key Financial data would be a great advantage.

Role and Responsibilities
As the Test Analyst, your roles and responsibilities include:
• Reporting into the Project Manager, responsible for tracking testing activities required by the project and help to lead the functional and non-functional testing as the Subject Matter Expert
• Obtain project and business agreement to Test Plans & Test Schedules ensuring consistency of quality in test scenarios and test scripts across projects within the programme, recorded in the test tool
• Guide technical and business teams when creating test scenarios and test scripts
• Plan, organise and run the various Testing sessions
• Managing risks and issues relating to Testing activities
• Responsible for the capture, record and prioritisation of defects
• Continually help evolving the testing process to complement the different project phases
• Communicate testing progress and results/findings in a clearly and succinctly
• Provide support to the Test manager through the timely creation of weekly status reports at project level

Skill Set
As the Test Analyst, your technical skills will include:

• Familiarity with testing chains of integrated systems that combine together to provide a complete solution.
• Advanced/Expert knowledge of MS Excel
• Financial Background an advantage
• Experience of Reconciliation Testing and Error Handling
• Interface Testing Experience (Role involves no Functional or UI Testing – Mainly Backend and Middleware)
• Experience of working in an agile development environment
• Min 3 years recent experience of testing in a multi-system environment.
• A proactive self-starter who is able to work under own initiative and have the ability to work unsupervised to meet demanding deadlines
• Flexible and adaptable with an ability to respond to changing demands/priorities with little or no notice.
• Strong interpersonal skills and team working with excellent written/verbal communication abilities.
• The ability to influence/coordinate to maximize the efficiency of the team.
• Willing to travel to other sites within the UK on an occasional basis, as required by the project
