Join a high profile and exciting programme of work as Senior Test Manager for a well-known publisher.

The role of Senior Test Manager will be primarily leading the testing activities and individual projects, as well as guiding technical and business teams when creating test scenarios and test scripts.

If you are a proactive, self-starter who is able to work under own initiative and ha the ability to work unsupervised to meet demanding deadlines then you are the ideal candidate for the role of Senior Test Manager.

Role and Responsibilities
As Senior Test Manager, you will be responsible for the following:
• Reporting into the Programme Test Manager, responsible for tracking testing activities required by the projects and help leading the functional and non-functional testing as the Subject Matter Expert
• Working on a large SOP Programme. Must be able to work on own initiative
• Deputise for the Programme Test Manager in his absence
• Obtain project and business agreement to Test Plans & Test Schedules ensuring consistency of quality in test scenarios and test scripts across projects within the programme, recorded in the test tool
• Plan, organise and run the various Testing sessions including UAT
• Managing risks and issues relating to Testing activities
• Responsible for the capture, record and prioritisation of defects, liaising with the relevant work streams to ensure that additional requirements and Training needs are successfully delivered
• Continually help to evolve the testing process to complement the different project/programme phases
• Communicate testing progress and results/findings in a clearly and succinctly to all levels of the programme
• Provide support to the test managers through the timely creation of weekly status reports at project level

Skill Set
The successful Senior Test Manager will have the following:
• Min. 3 years recent experience of testing in a multi-system environment
• Experience and ability to provide guidance and management to teams of testers during test phases (i.e. System/Integration/UAT)
• Familiarity with testing chains of integrated systems that combine together to provide a complete solution
• Experience in liaising with technical teams and 3rd Party suppliers, both on site and remotely.
• Strong knowledge and experience of SAP
• Experience in both application and infrastructure testing
• Flexible and adaptable with an ability to respond to changing demands/priorities with little or no notice
• Strong interpersonal skills and team working with excellent written/verbal communication abilities
• The ability to influence/co-ordinate to maximize the efficiency of the team
• Willing to travel within the UK on an occasional basis, as required by individual projects
