SAP Business Objects Administrator - London

One of the largest media organisations in the world is looking for an experienced SAP Business Objects Administrator to support their team. As the SAP Business Objects Administrator, you will be an integral member of the BI development team currently tasked with delivering a new EDW to support the reporting and analysis needs.

You will have the opportunity to guide the architecture installation, configuration and continuous improvement of the SAP BO environment to ensure high service levels are maintained.This organisation is in the process of undergoing one of the largest IT projects in London, so this role represents an exciting opportunity for a SAP Business Objects Administrator, to join a leading organisation at a pivotal time in their development.

The right SAP Business Objects Administrator will have solid experience working with Business Objectives and tweaking such technologies to suit business needs.

Role and Responsibilities
As the SAP Business Objects Administrator, your duties will include:

BI Programme specific deliverables and activities
• Architect and continually improve the SAP BO environment to support PRH reporting demand
• Develop and enhance SAP BO reports and universes to support business requirements and benchmarks
• Create technical designs and functional specifications for the SAP BO environment.
• Participate in supporting functional, integration and performance testing of SAP BO solution developed as part of the BI Programme.
• Develop the standards, governance and security processes of the SAP BO environment
• Administration and regular maintenance of SAP BO environment.
• Assist in design and data modelling efforts of Enterprise Data Warehouse to support speedy report generation
• Provide leadership and guidance on good practice design and development
• Work closely with BI analyst to create and evaluate business requirements to support delivery of end reporting solutions.
• Peer review design and development of the SAP BO team
• Support testing and defect resolution during project activities
• Develops documentation to support promotion of work between environments and administration of the BO environment
• Production of documentation to support service transition
• Provide 2nd and 3rd level support for incident and problem management

• Give guidance and recommendation of report presentation solutions in the BI landscape.
• Lead and drive continuous improvement of presentation solutions and BI platform
• Keep abreast of current technology and trends that may be of use/benefit.

Skill Set
The successful SAP Business Objects Administrator will have the following skill set:

• Minimum 4 + years working as an SAP BO developer & administrator who has exposure in leading a group of developers
• Proven track record of leading design, build and support of reporting solutions which are robust and scalable
• Extensive experience of developing, administration and supporting SAP Business Objects 4.1 and 3.1 versions
• Data modelling skills to support DWH design highly regarded
• Exposure to Tableau and Netezza appliance would be highly regarded
• A range of technical project experience, ideally with experience of delivering BI solutions for media and publishing organisations
• Knowledge of common methodologies for technical/software development projects such as Agile Scrum or Waterfall.
• Certified SAP Business Objects professional is highly regarded.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to build relationships at senior levels
• Flexible in terms of work environment and tasks undertaken
