Is this your next Pre-Sales Manager role? My client, an innovative start-up who provide a SaaS-based platform to companies to aid in research and development are after their next Pre-Sales Manager. Could this be you?

The Pre-Sales Manager will be a key part of the growth and success of the business. You will liaise with the majority of the business and you will have expertise with the IP Analytic and Management platform the client offers. A Pre-Sales Manager plays a pivotal role in on-boarding new business and help turning a small start-up into global company.

Role and Responsibilities
As the successful Pre-Sales Manager you will be responsible for the following:
• Accompany salespeople on pitches to strategic and enterprise prospects.
• Deliver presentations and client use cases providing in-depth and credible knowledge.
• Manage and monitor all client trials providing clear reporting and dashboard to management.
• Continually assess, document, and analyse prospect progress toward stated goals, desired outcomes and results.
• Educate prospects on the value they can generate from the power of their company's solution.
• Manage the sales bid process, responding to RFI’s & RFP’s when a client or prospect puts an opportunity ‘out to tender’.
• Respond to technical questions about the product or related infrastructure.
• Become an expert on the customer’s deployment of the product.
• Carry out research to stay ahead of what is happening in and around the company – including understanding the current & future market, product and competitor landscape.
• Manage internal training and be a key player in the new staff on-boarding (product and pre-sales training).
• Present to prospects product roadmaps with emphasis on features most relevant to the given prospect.
• Gather customer product feedback and communicate with product management to shape product road-map development.

Skill Set
The ideal Pre-Sales Manager will have:
• 3 + years experience in a pre-sales or customer success position.
• Experience with cloud-based/SaaS solution offerings.
• Excellent client-facing skills, e.g. meeting & presenting to clients (ideally with experience dealing with similar types/levels of contact).
• Excellent commercial skills including an understanding of the sales process (ideally gained within a similar commercial environment).
• Strong communication skills, written & verbal.
• Strong problem-solving skills including an ability to think ‘on their feet’ when faced with challenging questions.
• Proven ability to build and sell business cases to customer teams.
• Strong understanding of business processes and their implementation into enterprise applications.
• Experience managing the bid or proposal process including responding to RFI’s/RFP’s.
• Willingness to 'roll up one's sleeves' and assist wherever needed.
• You will be a team player who will innovate to continue improving the way the company serves its customers.
• Bachelors degree or equivalent experience in a science, business, or related field (Masters preferred).
• Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
