Head of Programmatic Trading and Audiences - London

Europe’s largest privately owned publishing Group and are looking to recruit and experienced Head of Programmatic Trading and Audiences. As the Head of Programmatic Trading and Audiences you will work with the Commercial Director on developing the programmatic & audience strategy, across all platforms within the company. The successful Head of Programmatic Trading and Audiences will be expected to deliver on the revenue targets for programmatic and audience via the programmatic & trading team, as well as collaborating with the agency sales teams attending meetings where necessary.
Role and Responsibilities
As Head of Programmatic Trading and Audiences, you will be responsible for the following:

• Build/support strong relationships with the relevant technology providers
• Opportunity Manage the RTB processes and how we make our inventory available across the exchange, always protecting our 1st party data
• Create a clear offering around the business' audiences and how this is optimized to deliver on clients ROI
• Understand and implement (test and learn) strategies on where we need to protect our audiences and manage yield. Then communicate these findings with a clear pricing strategy.
• Develop floor price strategies, which are reviewed daily, with clear actions and potential to turn into PMP’s
• Have the ability to via a trading team to optimize campaigns, analyze the statistics and to educate the core sales team on the best performing areas/audiences across the sites.
• you will deliver on scale for our audiences and manage this process with the digital sales team and creative solutions
• You will attend key meetings as required to present trading ideas as required and potentially deliver on key insight for a campaign
• Work closely with Head of Ad Operations, especially around yield management & the desired waterfall approach

Skill Set
The successful Head of Programmatic Trading and Audiences will have the following:

• Up-to-date knowledge of developments across the media industry
• You will have an understanding on how to implement at audience at scale and create a publisher trading desk
• Enthusiasm for working in the media industry and an aspiration to grow and develop in digital sales
• You will have exceptional understanding of how RTB/programmatic trading works including – trading, analytics, site specific sales, networks, research, and technical integrations
• Professional, diligent, proactive and a good team player
• 6+ year’s digital experience including 3 years specifically working in a programmatic role
• Strong analytical and yield management skills to protect yield where necessary
