eCommerce Trading Manager - Buckinghamshire

As the eCommerce Trading Manager, you will be responsible for devising effective trading strategies and tactics to maximise the sales potential for the eCommerce site. Role and Responsibilities
As eCommerce Trading Manager, you will be expected to:

• Support the Digital Manager in maximising conversion, average selling price, participation, sales and profit from online trading activity
• Work alongside the eCommerce Buyer to develop, implement and deliver individual brand strategy – including promotions, range reviews, pricing and stock that are consistent with the overall financial objective
• Work with the eCommerce Buyer and suppliers on activity briefs and asset collection whilst building strong supplier relationships, attending online meetings where appropriate
• Work alongside the eCommerce Buyer to identify and implement new product opportunities that are competitively priced, commercially viable and meet customer needs to drive sales and profitability
• Work with the eCommerce Merchandiser, to ensure merchandising strategy drives and delivers the right range presented in the right way and the right location on the website; ensuring launch and on-going availability and control of slow moving stock
• Line Management of direct reports to achieve their individual KPI’s and personal development objectives
• Develop effective internal and external working relationships to support and enhance sales and performance
• Gather, review and draw conclusions from website performance offering insightful, commercially savvy and customer focused solutions.
• Manage and deliver projects as and when required
• Produce regular management information and reports, analyse the performance of products, promotions and landing pages. Taking appropriate action where necessary to enhance sales and the customer journey
• Review pricing, ensuring the company remains competitive and maximises profitability
• Develop and maintain a good understanding of the online platform
• To be the skilled online expert – utilise and continually develop expert knowledge in Health and Beauty products, competitors and market activity to deliver increased sales
• Identify content required (e.g. copy, video etc.) source and supply this to Marketing and Content Specialist

Skill Set
The successful eCommerce Trading Manager will have the following:

• Proven experience of online trading with demonstrable results
• Self-managed, highly motivated and with a strong drive for results
• Commercially focused with excellent ability to understand and interpret market information
• Strong communication skills with the ability to influence and negotiate with both internal and external business teams across diverse groups of individuals and interests
• Previous line management experience essential ideally of a small to medium size team
• Strong numerical skills with the ability to analyse and interpret volume data
• Project Management experience
• Excellent planning and organisation skills, with the ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
• Excellent communication skills: written and verbal, including presentations
• Excellent attention to detail
• Problem Solver
