Role and responsibilities

As eCommerce Manager, you will be expected to:

• Maximising all opportunities to drive brand awareness and online sales by working closely with key internal stakeholders and external agencies on PPC, display advertising, SEO, CRO, Merchandising, etc
• Managing, reviewing and challenging the performance of external agencies against agreed KPIs
• Sustaining online sales growth through maximising traffic, conversions and ROI
• Collaborating with our in-house digital specialist function with the aim of improving performance
• Leading the social media strategy ensuring the key commercial strategies are clearly communicated via this media
• Providing regular analysis and reporting of website traffic and initiatives, using Google Analytics & Excel, communicating recommendations and driving actions
• Working with the Digital Marketing Specialist to ensure that the digital marketing budget is being utilised and generating a positive ROI
• Providing regular budget updates on progress vs forecast
• Working closely with the CRM and offline marketing teams to maximise brand awareness and ensure materials have a consistent marketing message
• Monitoring and managing the performance of direct reports
• Keeping up to speed with the latest online marketing technologies and innovations and ensuring the business is at the forefront of any developments to help improve user experience
• Working with the UX and Design Manager to ensure the site is visually engaging to maximise sales and user experience
• Ensuring that the site product hierarchy is customer-centric and cross merchandising opportunities are delivered consistently
• Working with the online Buying/Merchandising team to deliver compelling promotions and progressive customer centric range extension both within core offers and new categories

Skill set

The successful eCommerce Manager will have the following:

• A strong eCommerce background, as well as a good knowledge of digital marketing channels, including affiliates, display, PPC and SEO
• Excellent working knowledge of Google Analytics and Microsoft Excel
• Proven experience in reporting and analysis to make informed marketing decisions and drive initiatives
• Excellent attention to detail with strong numerical skills with the ability to analyse and interpret volume data
• Experience of managing agencies
• Strong communication skills with the ability to influence and negotiate with both internal and external business teams
• Line Management experience
