Data Analyst - London

Type: Fixed Term Contract Full-Time

One of the largest publishing organisations in the world is looking for an experienced Data Analyst to join their team based in London. The successful Data Analyst will take responsibility for data analysis and mappings from source systems (notably Virtusales Biblio/B3 and Klopotek) to target systems within the Data Migration stream. Your role as the Data Analyst will contribute to the achievement of the deliverables, performance targets, aims and the company objectives.
Role and Responsibilities
As the Data Analyst your responsibilities include:

• Performing any other duties which are reasonably deemed to be consistent with the demands and responsibilities of this role
• Drafting mapping specifications and other functional documents for use by the DM programming team
• Specifying, scoping and completing data mapping activities for that data
• Analysing source data, including detailed data analysis of publishing (Virtusales Biblio/B3) and/or royalties (Klopotek) data
• Providing such other technical support as may be required within the DM work-stream from time to time
• Maintaining the highest standard of professional conduct at all times with clients and colleagues
• Working independently with business and technology resources to define the ‘as-is’ and ‘to-be’ data structures for publishing and/or royalty data

As the Data Analyst you will be working alongside:

• Business sponsors, SMEs, and other key business personnel
• Data work-stream team, including
- Other work-stream and project team members
- Data work-stream Manager
- “OneBiblioOneSOP” Programme Manager

Skill Set
Skills required for the Data Analyst:

• Ability to write coherent and succinct data templates, data mappings, transformation functional specifications and other deliverables
• Familiar with standard Data and Data Migration concepts and processes
• Strong relationship building skills
• Good knowledge of MS Office software suite (including SharePoint) and standard project management tools
• Proven ability to support the data migration delivery of a range of projects in terms of size and content independent situations
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and proactively manage workloads
• Experience and detailed knowledge of publishing data, data structures, and processes Excellent verbal and written communication skills, plus the ability to effectively network
