An international publishing company with nearly 250 editorially and creatively independent publishing imprints is looking for a Business Analyst.

As the successful Business Analyst, you will engage with the business to understand their needs and translates these into requirements. You will have the opportunity to contribute to the continuous improvements and give guidance, as well as provide recommendations.

This is the perfect role for you if you consider yourself a self-motivated and proactive Business Analyst, with highly analytical skills.

Role and Responsibilities
As Business Analyst, you will be responsible for the following:

• Give guidance of overall Technology landscape
• Work with business and Technology stakeholders (architecture, design, service etc.) to identify and evaluate work that requires Technology change
• Agree and document scope, requirements and technical constraints of that work
• Ensure requirements (business, functional and non-functional) are sufficient for design and development
• Work with delivery teams to clarify requirements and liaise with the business concerning requirements
• Work with Technology teams and other service providers to define and evaluate solution proposals for viability and appropriateness
• Support supplier evaluations (RFI/RFP processes)

Skill Set
The successful Business Analyst will have the following:

• Experience of use-case/user story development and managing requirements gathering workshops
• Experience of business process mapping and modelling
• Experience of authoring business, functional and technical requirements and specification documents
• Experience acting as a BA on project across the entire SDLC
• A range of technical project experience, ideally with experience of delivering solutions for media and publishing organisations
• Understanding and experience of project management methodologies and frameworks and change management processes
• Knowledge of common methodologies for technical/software development projects such as Agile Scrum or Waterfall
