7 years ago I started a recruitment business on the back of demand coming through Opilio Consulting.

 

Without doubt, starting any business is tough and from my past experience in other start ups and other businesses, I can honestly say that Recruitment is probably one of the toughest and most under appreciated sector in which to try and earn a living.

 

Luckily, we operate in am amazing sector with some of the greatest clients and strongest brands and amazing minds so I can honestly say that the candidates and clients I have met along the way have inspired me to keep growing Opilio across sales, marketing and technology skill-sets.

 

I am constantly amazed by the businesses we work with (from large brand like Disney, BBC, Aimia, News UK, to start ups and challengers like Persado, FiiT, Brightcove, Buzzmoves and many others).

 

I am especially proud of our charity work with Sherry Coutu at Founders4schools and also for our commitment to “Send A Cow”.

 

None of this has been achieved by one single person but by the entire team across London, Birmingham and Manchester.  This year we have installed the epic Sheba Karamat as MD across the business and she is doing an amazing job, having launched also Opilio Executive!

 

 I look forward, with Sheba Karamat and the team, to seeing Opilio continue to grow and offer expertise and talent across the UK market place.
