So, we ended the quarter on target for the business KPI’s - head count, revenue, marketing reach etc. We have had a couple of huge pitches this month to global media businesses for significant hiring contracts during 2014. More on that next month.

We welcome Louis our latest trainee recruitment consultant who is bedding in nicely. Our new MD, Sheba, has grabbed the reins and is starting to drive this business into stage 2 - which is continued expansion within London, Birmingham and Manchester.  The existing team have really pulled together and a big thank you to all of them. I think a big night out is warranted...

It seems there is an opportunity to pitch for match funding from GBSLEP for the Birmingham office expansion so a big thank you to Caroline Spelman and Andy Street for making those connections.  We'll see how that works out during this quarter.

Our Tech director Ben Stinton has been busy all quarter building our "best in class" recruitment management platform condensing 30+ years of recruitment management into a scalable! cloud based platform.  Elastic search, Daxtra, parsing, sage integration...the list goes on.  Excitingly this will allow us to scale rapidly in terms of head count and regions pushing our business KPI’s further. 

Personally, have made some C level placements this quarter in digital media space so am delighted how these have gone. 

Overall, an enthusiastic and robust start to 2014, and onwards and upwards.
