An exciting month again during February. We fully opened the Birmingham and Manchester offices and have already picked up work in both locations so it was evidently a great decision to expand what we are doing. We have brought on a lot of new clients and new work since the rebrand, so thanks to Tom and Kate for all of their hard work. A great job all round.
We are seeing companies hire across all levels of seniority, including some fantastic CEO, COO and CFO roles, and many traditional businesses are looking at hiring senior digital people to get them fit for purpose in 2014.
One of the challenges we face (and no doubt other small businesses do too) is the squeeze on cash-flow. From fellow owners of small but growing businesses this seems like a perpetual challenge. We are growing the business using our cash-flow so the devil is in the detail.
I have spent part of this month meeting and discussing with Private Equity, Venture Capitalist and Angels with a view to exploring funding options for growth. There have been lots of positive responses in addition to Government schemes, which seems like a win-win.
We are continuing to interview heavily in order to build our own teams across all three offices in the UK, and I hope we can update you more in the next quarter.
Finally, a big thanks to all of the team once again - they work exceptionally hard with long days and often weekends. I admire their commitment to Opilio Recruitment and could not wish to work with a better group of people.
